As a growing law enforcement staffing agency, we pride ourselves on our ability to connect skilled law enforcement professionals with the right opportunities. We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and play a key role in managing our financial operations.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-sufficient Staff Accountant to support our financial operations. This role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Experience with QuickBooks Online is required, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Process payroll and ensure timely payment of employee expenses.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.

  • Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to leadership.

  • Support the CFO with audits, financial reporting, and special projects as needed.

  • Maintain organized financial records and improve accounting processes as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business setting.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (experience with other accounting software is a plus).

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Self-sufficient and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with different teams.

  • Experience in payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
